Ticketing Information

When purchasing tickets through the website, you will be asked to log in or register as a New User.

If you have bought tickets with us before and registered an email address with us, you may already have a web account. To find out, you can reset your password by following the instructions.

If you get a message that ‘no registration record has been found for this address‘, you can create a new account or contact Ensemble Theatre’s Box Office on 02 8918 3400 to activate your account.

If you need to change your details, please log in to Update Your Details including address and newsletter preferences.

If you need to change the email address that you use to log in, contact Ensemble Theatre on 02 8918 3400 or by emailing boxoffice@ensemble.com.au with your old email address and the new email address.

If you have forgotten your password you can reset it.

You can create a new account to purchase tickets online.

Treat your friends and family with an unforgettable theatre experience. A gift voucher is a perfect way to put your loved one in control, so they can choose exactly how to spend their gift. Vouchers can be used to buy a subscription, any individual Ensemble shows and even a delicious meal at Bayly’s Bistro. Oh, did we mention they last for three whole years? Talk about flexible!

Handling Fees

The handling fee for phone and internet sales is $6.00 per transaction. Subscribers will not be charged handling fees.
Handling fees are not charged for Box Office counter sales.

Refund Policy

Tickets cannot be refunded after purchase except as outlined in the Live Performance Australia (LPA) Ticketing Code of Practice.

Subscriber Ticket Exchanges

Subscribers are entitled to one free exchange per production. Please phone the Box Office (02) 8918 3400 or email boxoffice@ensemble.com.au to initiate your exchange. Please note:

  • Exchanges within 48 hours prior to a performance incur a late exchange fee of $6.00 per ticket.
  • The cut-off time for late exchange is 12 noon on the day of an evening performance and up to the close of business the day before for a matinee.
  • Upgrades apply if exchanging for a higher priced performance e.g. weekday matinee to weekend matinee.
  • You may exchange more than once. Second exchanges incur a fee of $6.00 per ticket.
  • Ticket exchanges are subject to availability.
Non-Subscriber Exchanges
  • Non-subscribers may exchange tickets (subject to availability) up to 48 hours before a performance and a ticket exchange fee of $6.00 per ticket will apply.
  • If exchanging within 48 hours of a performance date, additional fees may apply.
  • Ticket exchanges are subject to availability.

CONCESSIONS

Discounts are offered for the following concessions:

  • Senior’s cards
  • Pensioners
  • Full-time students (NSW travel concession card)
  • Club 30 (for those 30 and under at time of booking)
  • Free Teens (for performances marked FT in the performance calendar)
  • Media, Entertainment and Arts Alliance (MEAA) and Australian Writer’s Guild (AWG) members.

Discounts and priority booking are also available to groups of ten or more people.

Missed Your Performance?

Subscribers can purchase make-up tickets to another performance for $25 per ticket (subject to availability). Missed performance tickets cannot be refunded or exchanged to another production.

FREE TEEN PERFORMANCES

We’d love to introduce teenagers to the theatre with a free ticket to join you on our Free Teen nights (marked FT in the performance calendar). These are subject to availability and can be booked alongside one adult subscription or a single ticket.

PLAYWAVE

Ensemble Theatre supports PLAYWAVE, your key to connect with the best of Sydney’s arts and culture. Between 15 – 19 years old? Become a member at www.playwave.com.au. Members of PLAYWAVE can book significantly discounted tickets to specific performances.

Babies and Young Children

If you are attending the theatre with a baby or young child, please ensure you contact the Box Office prior to making a booking so we can accommodate you with special seating options.
Children under 2 years of age do not require a ticket of their own.

Venue Hire

Ensemble Theatre runs a 12 month subscription season and is therefore not available for hire to other production companies. However, the auditorium (220 seats) and restaurant are available for hire for corporate functions, presentations and training.

Rehearsal Rooms

Ensemble Theatre’s rehearsal rooms are located just next door to the theatre and are occasionally available for hire to theatre groups seeking a rehearsal space. The room is available for either daytime rehearsals or evening rehearsals at various times throughout the year at reasonable rates.
