Call us on (02) 8918 3460 and we can fill out your booking form ove the phone. Your form will then join the queue to be processed in order of receipt. Please note, tickets are not booked immediately during subscription phone bookings.

In our intimate theatre, the experience from all seats is excellent. Please refer to the seating map to work out where you’ll be most comfortable.

If you have a hearing impairment, please request seating within the hearing loop.

Ensemble Theatre is fully accessible with wheelchair friendly seating, including street level access to row F in our auditorium and lift access to facilities and Bayly’s Bistro.

Book your 2021 subscription before 31 December 2020 to win an equivalent subscription for two people in 2022.*

*Terms & Conditions apply

To enter, submit your completed subscription by 30 December 2020. The prize is an equivalent subscription for two people, for example if you purchase a 5-play 2021 subscription you could win a 5-play 2022 subscription for two or if you purchase a 6-play 2021 subscription you could win a 6-play 2022 subscription for two and so on. The winner will be drawn on Monday 1 February 2021 and notified by phone and email. The winner is responsible for booking their 2022 subscription.



Single tickets will go on sale early next year, subject to availability.

Following NSW Government guidelines we can currently operate at 50% capacity. The benefit of being a subscriber is getting priority access to the best available seats. Under the current restrictions, there is a possibility we could be fully booked before single tickets go on sale. We’ll continue to monitor the government advice and update our capacity accordingly. What should I do if I still have outstanding 2020 tickets?

If you haven’t already, please review the ticket options below and email your preference to with the name of the 2020 play(s) in the subject line.

  1. Credit voucher
    Convert your ticket(s) to a credit voucher w this towards any play next year, a 20201 subscription or choose to enjoy a delicious meal at Bayly’s Bistro.
  2. Tax-deductible donation
    Please consider donating the price of your ticket to help secure the future of Ensemble Theatre. As a small, not for profit organisation our survival is reliant on ticket sales and your amazing support. Thank you.
  3. Refund
    If the above options are not suitable, we will of course arrange a ticket refund as soon as possible.
  4. Mix of the above
    If you’ve purchased tickets for multiple shows, we completely understand you may want to select more than one option, e.g. donate your KENNY tickets and convert your HONOUR tickets to a credit voucher, and we can process this for you too.


How can I redeem my credit voucher?

You can use your credit voucher towards a 2021 subscription, and you don’t need it until the payment step. Decide on 5 or more season plays you would like to see next year, fill out a booking form either online, over the phone (02 8919 3460) or email your form to and quote your voucher number on your booking form.

Single tickets will go on sale early next year, subject to availability. Priority access will be offered to those who donated or converted their 2020 tickets to a credit voucher. Please ensure you have signed up to receive our e-newsletter to be first in the know. Please note, we’ve extended the expiry date of credit vouchers to 18 months.


Can I include a Special Add-on Event in my subscription?

Customers who subscribe to 5 or more of our season plays have priority access to tickets for our 3x Special Add-on Events:


What physical distancing measures are in place in the auditorium?

In accordance with the NSW government guidelines the auditorium can open at 50% capacity. To maximise physical distancing we’ve opted to use a checkerboard pattern. This means you can sit directly next to others in your booking, but there will be at least one seat between you and the next customer.


Do I have to wear a mask?

We’re used to the theatre masks of comedy and tragedy, but face masks are the new norm. For your safety, all customers must wear a mask in the auditorium. Please pop it on before the lights go down. If you forget to bring one, masks are available from the Box Office. Our Front of House staff will also be wearing masks so we really appreciate your co-operation.


Can I sit in the front row?

For your safety and the safety of our actors we have taken the decision not to release the front row at the moment. If you have seating requirements or wish to use the hearing loop, please let the subscriptions team know when booking. If you do have a strong preference to sit in the front row, please note this on your booking form. If there are changes to safety regulations, and subject to ticket availability, we’ll do what we can to accommodate your request.


The 2020 play I wanted to see isn’t in the 2021 Season

We’ve tried our best to bring back as many postponed 2020 shows as possible. Due to scheduling and uncertainty around travel restrictions it wasn’t possible to stage them all next year, but we’re hopeful we’ll be presenting those couple of plays that you missed out on in the future.
