Just a hop, skip and a jump north of the bridge from the CBD, Ensemble Theatre is situated in a heritage-listed boatshed on the water in Kirribilli.
The next stop north after Wynyard Station, take the train to Milsons Point station, exit at Ennis Rd and it’s just a 5 minute walk down Willoughby Street.
There’s free (but time-limited) street parking all around the theatre. Please allow ample time to park before your performance or booking at Bayly’s Bistro.
The most scenic way to travel, treat yourself and jump on a ferry to North Sydney (around a 5 minute walk) or Kirribilli (a 10 – 15 minute walk) wharves.
Val the Matinee Bus
We offer a bus service for weekday matinee performances. The bus departs from Ennis Rd, outside Milsons Point train station from 10am to 10.45am, then returns to the station after the performance. We also offer an after-lunch service for Bayly’s Bistro diners. Bookings are not required but there is a suggested $3 donation to help cover costs.
AUDIO DESCRIBED PERFORMANCES
Vision Australia provide a complimentary audio description service for patrons who are blind or have low vision. Audio described performances are marked AD in the performance calendar.
Ensemble Theatre has a hearing loop which amplifies sound for specific areas of seating. If you have a hearing impairment please request seating within the hearing loop when booking. Receivers are also available from the Box Office and should be booked in advance.
WHEELCHAIR SEATS AND LEVEL ACCESS
We are fully wheelchair accessible, have wheelchair friendly seating and F row in our theatre has street level access. Let us know where you need to sit when completing your subscription form, or book a seat in Row F when purchasing tickets to individual shows online.
If in doubt contact the Box Office to discuss seating options on 02 8918 3400.
PLAY YOUR PART
We are theatre for everyone and we aim to create an enjoyable atmosphere for our audiences and performers to soak up the full Ensemble experience.
Our top priority is the well-being of our audiences and staff members.
Ensemble Theatre is acting on advice issued by the Australian Government Department of Health regarding the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) and closely monitoring updates from Live Performance Australia (LPA), the national peak body for the live performance industry.
On Friday 13 March the government advised against organised, non-essential mass gatherings of more than 500 people to commence from Monday 16 March. This advice is a precautionary measure and does not affect Ensemble Theatre. With a capacity of 220 seats, we continue to operate business as usual as per official guidance.
