Join Mark Kilmurry, Artistic Director of Ensemble Theatre, for ICONS: ENSEMBLE CONVERSATIONS, a new series of intimate talks with legends of Australian theatre, kicking off with David Williamson AO.
Overview

Each ENSEMBLE CONVERSATION offers a unique insight into the lives and careers of the nation’s most influential artists, sharing personal stories, creative journeys, and behind-the-scenes moments.

But here’s the best part — this is also your chance to put your burning questions directly to the legends themselves!

The series kicks off with David Williamson AO, celebrating his extraordinary 30-year association with Ensemble Theatre. 1995 marked the beginning of a legacy of Williamson plays at Ensemble, and this year, we’re thrilled to present not one but two of his works; the world premiere of ARIA and a fresh take on the play that sparked this enduring relationship, EMERALD CITY.

With over 50 plays produced, staged and toured nationally and internationally, numerous film and television writing credits, and a treasure trove of awards, David is undoubtedly one of Australia’s most successful playwrights. Find out what continues to drive his creativity.

And who better to put him in the hot seat, than our very own Mark Kilmurry, set to direct his 8th Williamson play this year?

Don’t miss this rare and unforgettable opportunity to get up close and personal with a true icon of Australian theatre.
