The Ensemble Theatre has taken on board the feedback from our weekday matinee patrons in regard to the need for transport after the show to Milsons Point train station. As a result mini bus transport from the theatre to Milsons Point Station is now available for each and every weekday matinee. Our friendly bus driver is Chris McKendry whose long association with the Ensemble continues. There is a suggested donation of $3 fee per person per trip and the bus will run continuously until all patrons are delivered to the station after the show. Bookings are not required.
The Ensemble Theatre is delighted to announce the purchase of a new bus for our matinee patrons. This purchase was made possible through the receipt of a Community Partnerships Grant and a private donation from long-term subscribers. We still have ongoing costs associated with running the bus including registration, insurance, petrol and wages and so if you are able to continue to support the bus through private donations we would be most grateful. All donations are tax deductible and donations of $50.00 and over will be acknowledged in our production programmes.
ENSEMBLE THEATRE
CELEBRATING 50 YEARS: A GREAT STAGE OF LIFE
A book to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Ensemble Theatre is now available for purchase. This is a fascinating account of the birth of the Ensemble Theatre as told by founding members Lorrain Bayly, Reg Livermore and Don Reid. The growth of the theatre from its humble beginnings in the Cammeray Children's Library to the acquisition of the current site and the company's ongoing success is discussed by Sandra Bates, Mark Kilmurry, Zika Nester, Kate Raison, Henri Szeps and other members of the Ensemble Family.
Featuring a selection of beautiful photographs taken from the theatre's history since 1958, this 100 page coffee table book is a wonderful memento of Australia's longest, continuously running theatre company.
This is a strictly limited publication available for pre-order now at the cost of only $32.50. To secure your copy telephone the Ensemble Theatre on 9929 0644 to place your order.
The publication date is in late August 2008. Books will be available from early September.
