Community Activities

Ensemble Theatre has been a proud member of it's local community for 50 years. Over the years the theatre has supported many other community groups through the donation of tickets for fundraising activities and the provision of the theatre free of charge for special workshops and presentations to groups such as the National Centre for Childhood Grief.

Page to Stage

Between 1994-2008 North Sydney Council's Young Dramatist Page to Stage program culminated each year in a performance of the selected plays at the Ensemble Theatre. The use of the theatre has been donated by Ensemble for over ten years to this group.  The Page to Stage program will not be run in 2009.

Fundraising

Vision Australia is just one of the charities which has run successful fundraising activities in association with the Ensemble Theatre through a charity performance of an Ensemble production to raise the funds required for the purchase of new equipment needed for the provision of audio described performances. This benefits not only Ensemble patrons using this service but other theatre patrons around Sydney.

St Lucy's School at Wahroonga recently held a fundraising performance given by the students in the Ensemble auditorium allowing them to both showcase their talents and raise the money to start building a new performing arts centre at the school.

Donation Requests

The Ensemble Theatre provides over 300 tickets annually to local charities for fundraising efforts. We are unable to provide cash donations. Due to the large number of requests for donations we regret that we are unable to fulfill every request but all consideration is given. If you would like to apply for a ticket donation for a fundraising event please fill in the donation request form and return it by fax to (02) 9954 4722. Please note that donation requests must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the date of your event to allow for processing. Ticket donations are subject to the terms and conditions included on the gift voucher and vouchers once issued cannot be reissued or altered if lost or the date of your event changes.
