From 30 July 2009 Samantha loves Gavin. Gavin thinks he loves Samantha but can’t seem to leave the wife he has separated from. Samantha and Gavin decide to move in together only Gavin still has to move out from his wife. What they need is a spot of couple’s (and single’s) therapy. Barnaby Johnson doesn’t pretend to have all the answers but he is very good at asking the right questions. His clients confess, accuse, make promises and Barnaby listens the whole day long and then listens some more. What keeps him sane? He loves his job and more importantly he loves other people’s problems because then he doesn’t have to deal with his own…and the cow jumped over the moon. Written by Ensemble Theatre Associate Director, Mark Kilmurry after a series of improvised workshops with the cast, And The Cow Jumped Over The Moon is a funny, touching and at times confronting look at the role of the counsellor, the clients he treats and the problems he just can’t face up to himself. Approximate running time 90 minutes
Performance times vary throughout the week due to the double-up with the production of The Little Dog Laughed. Please see Calendar for performance dates and times. |
